Will GTA 6 Be on Xbox Game Pass at Launch?

Will GTA 6 be on Xbox Game Pass at launch? Official sources reviewed for this update have not announced it for the service. Xbox lists the game for pre-order on Xbox Series X|S, with a November 19, 2026 release date. A Game Pass subscription should not be treated as confirmation that you will receive the game.

What is confirmed about the launch?

Take-Two’s official pre-order announcement lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, a November 19 release and a US standard-edition price of $79.99. Regional prices and store offers should be checked on the relevant storefront.

The official Xbox page offers pre-orders. It does not announce a Game Pass launch in the information reviewed here. That distinction matters: being available on an Xbox console and being included in Game Pass are separate things.

Does GTA+ include GTA 6?

A GTA+ membership is a different subscription from Xbox Game Pass. Rockstar’s pre-order support article explains the one-month GTA+ offer included with eligible digital pre-orders. A membership bonus is not a statement that GTA 6 itself is included in a subscription catalog. Check the offer terms, including renewal, before redeeming it.

What happened with GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2?

Xbox announced GTA V on Game Pass on January 3, 2020. It also announced Red Dead Redemption 2 on May 7, 2020.

Those examples show that Rockstar games have appeared in the service. They do not establish a timetable for GTA 6 or prove that it will join later.

When could GTA 6 come to Game Pass?

There is no confirmed date in the sources reviewed here. A prediction such as “three to five years after launch” should not be presented as a release schedule.
