GTA 6 on PC: What Rockstar Has Confirmed

Last checked: October 4, 2026.

GTA 6 on PC has not been announced. Rockstar’s currently published release information lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S for November 19, 2026, but gives no PC release date. That means a PC version and its timing remain unknown; it does not confirm a specific delay or rule out a later port.

What Rockstar and Take-Two have confirmed

Rockstar’s official pre-order announcement names PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Take-Two’s Fiscal 2027 first-quarter release schedule also lists Grand Theft Auto VI for those platforms, with a November 19, 2026 release date. Neither source announces a PC edition.

As of this update, Rockstar has not published a PC launch window, minimum or recommended system requirements, a PC storefront list, or details about a PC version of GTA Online. Claims about a mid-2028 port, required graphics cards, 32 GB of RAM, NVMe storage, or a specific anti-cheat system are speculation—not confirmed product information.

What past Rockstar PC releases can tell us

Rockstar’s previous major releases arrived on PC after their initial console launches. Grand Theft Auto V reached PC in April 2015, and Red Dead Redemption 2 was announced for PC in 2019 after its console release. These examples show that a later PC release has happened before. They do not establish when—or whether—GTA 6 will come to PC.

Should PC players buy a console to play at launch?

That depends on how soon you want to play and whether the announced console versions suit you. Rockstar has not confirmed a PC version or timing, so waiting carries uncertainty. Buying a console is a personal choice, not a requirement set by Rockstar. If you prefer to play on PC, the most reliable signal will be a direct announcement from Rockstar or Take-Two.
